ODYSSEY WOOD DESIGN

Every piece of furniture is designed and fabricated by Dan Kornfeld. The ordering process begins with a personal consultation with Dan, either by phone, or preferably in person. The goal of this conversation is to determine exactly what the client’s needs, wants, and desires are for the piece of furniture that they are seeking.

Adding a piece of custom furniture into one’s home or work space is a direct reflection of personal style and image. In determining the exact design and style of a custom piece, a number of questions are answered, in particular: Where will the piece reside? What image does the client wish this piece to portray in their home or work place?

After the consultation, a series of design sketches are produced and reviewed with the client. After careful consideration and conversation, final plans are created. Once the final design is agreed upon by the client, the building begins!

Materials

Odyssey Wood Design uses foreign and domestic hardwoods as well as exotic species of wood. Any type of wood can be utilized upon request.

Costs

The cost of each piece is determined by the complexity of the design, the length of
time required to complete the piece, the type of woods and materials being used, and any transporting/shipping costs, as well as sales taxes, and other fees if applicable.

Deposits

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before the building process commences.
The final payment of 50% will be required upon completion and before shipping or
delivery.

Any alterations to the design of the project after the build has begun, may incur an
increase in the final costt.

Shipping/Delivery

Furniture is delivered or shipped either through a local, fully insured shipping
company recommended by Odyssey Wood Design, Inc., or through UPS fully insured.  Larger pieces are shipped via a blanket wrapped service shipper. Prices for crating and shipping depend on the size of the piece and your zip code. The total cost is determined and confirmed during the ordering process.
